Bournemouth Interpreters' Group CIC is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise facilitating public and voluntary sector access to locally-based, qualified, accredited and experienced community interpreters.  Registered providers can simply log into our interpreter database using the button above to locate and book an interpreter direct. Alternatively, we can arrange an interpreter for you – just contact us with the relevant details.

The Group also offers translation services into and from English through its members, both for individual texts and for proposed multi-language projects, and can offer expert advice on approaching such translations and on many other community language issues.

All of our interpreters and translators are qualified and accredited, and experienced in working in a wide range of contexts across the full socio-economic and cultural spectrum. When engaged under our umbrella they are also fully covered by our comprehensive public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

As a Community Interest Company our focus is on service delivery to the benefit of all involved, rather than us having a commercial profit-driven model. Our roots lie in the local minority language community and so we are ideally placed to appreciate the needs of both service providers and service users.

LANGUAGE SOLUTIONS for DORSET

Face-to-face interpreting is more sensitive, user-friendly and accurate than long-distance telephone interpreting. The Group routinely services all face-to-face interpreting needs covering an area roughly within 50 miles radius of Bournemouth and Poole. This includes the wider BCP Council area, the county of Dorset, south Wiltshire and parts of Hampshire including Southampton and the New Forest.  Please contact us to discuss availability outside this area - we will do our best to accommodate all requests.
